Skilled Home & Hospital Birth Doula Support
My Vancouver doula clients include those choosing both home birth and hospital birth settings, with a range of care providers; Midwives, Family Doctors and Obstetricians.
As your birth doula I will help you get the information you need to make the choices that are right for you and your family in your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period.
I have extensive experience with vaginal birth after caesarean “VBAC” (home and hospital) “older moms”, twins, trans and queer families, high risk and special situations.
One or two prenatal visits by video or in your home.
Here we will discuss any preparation for labour and birth; breathing and relaxation techniques; massage; acupressure; comfort positions; nutritional advice, etc. I will answer any questions you have, and we can talk about what you would like in your birth, and what to expect in your labour. You will get a picture of life with a newborn, and feel more confident about how you are preparing for the transition to a bigger family!
On-call doula support 24/7 & use of my specialized labor kit.
I provide continuous doula support for your labour and birth. After the birth I will help with initial breastfeeding and support, staying with you for an hour or 2 until you are comfortably tucked in with your new baby and ready to enjoy your new family.
Some of the tools of my trade are use of TENS unit; physio ball; hot packs; rebozo; knowledge of homeopathy, bach flower remedies, aromatherapy. I help your partner to be involved to their comfort level, and give guidance and direction as needed.
One postpartum home visit with support for you and baby.
Congratulations! At this time, we can talk about the birth, and celebrate your newborn.
I can provide assistance with breastfeeding, emotional support, new mother self-care tips, infant soothing techniques and provide referrals to community resources as needed.
If you would like additional home visits, I am also available for postpartum doula services.
Doula Fees & Care Options
The fee for my birth doula package is $1800. This fee reflects my 20+ years of knowledge and experience.

HOME BIRTH SERVICE AREA
I support families who are planning home births in Vancouver, North Shore, Burnaby, New Westminster, and Tri-Cities. On special request I will go to further communities if able.
HOSPITAL BIRTH SERVICE AREA
I provide birth doula services for hospital births at BC Women’s Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, Burnaby Hospital, Lions Gate Hospital, and Royal Columbian Hospital.
