In 2006 I became a Biodymanic Craniosacral Therapist, having completed a 3-year training with world-renowned teacher Dr. Michael Shea. This training pushes me to stay current on pre and perinatal psychology research and remain up-to-date on the data available on common interventions and procedures, and their associated risks and benefits. I appreciate being able to access this information to help birthing mothers make empowered choices throughout the labour process.
I offer craniosacral treatments for babies with their mothers after the birth. This can help with breastfeeding issues, excessive crying, digestion, sleep issues, discomfort in car-seat, and “stiffness”. Babies should be soft and supple, and mold themselves to their parents bodies when they are held. Sometimes things that happen at birth, or even in the womb affect babies bodies and emotional well-being.
